Anthe (Ανθη flowering in Griek) practices art as an everyday way of engaging, viewing and responding to the world.
You might call her paintings realistic, but
on second glance they are not. She pairs the familiar with the extraordinary, with an eye for detail.
Her inspiration comes
from ongoing discovery of disciplines and materials, that she uses interactively in different projects.
She was born and raised
in the south of the Netherlands.
She works and lives near Amsterdam since 1988
and studied at the Art Academy in Maastricht.
